Information used to deliver the website

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical information to deliver pages and protect its network, including IP addresses and information about requests and traffic. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy for its handling of this information.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics, Ahrefs Web Analytics, and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, website use, and page performance. These services receive technical information from your browser.

Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information about page visits, device and browser characteristics, and interactions with the site. Your browser sends information such as the page URL and IP address to Google. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Ahrefs Web Analytics reports page visits, referral sources, device and browser information, language, approximate location, and supported interactions. Ahrefs describes its default Web Analytics service as cookieless. It uses IP addresses to derive location and daily visitor counts, and states that raw IP addresses are discarded rather than stored. Cloudflare adds a performance-measurement script to the live website. It reports page views and browser performance measurements, such as page-load times and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies, local storage, or session storage, and discards the connection's IP address at the nearest Cloudflare data center rather than storing it in its core databases or logs. Analytics may record that a visitor used a link or interacted with the permission-slip form. Our permission-slip code does not include the name you enter in an analytics event.

Your permission slip

The name you enter is used in your browser to personalize the slip. The website's code does not upload it or save it to an account or database. Printing uses your browser's print function. A printed copy or saved file is under your control.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, check corrections, investigate security reports, or handle privacy requests. Our email service processes correspondence to deliver and store messages.

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and related records, including any applicable legal obligations. You can contact us about deletion of a message. Do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.

Cookies and your choices

Google Analytics can set cookies when a page loads. This version of the site does not yet offer an on-site cookie consent control. You can block or delete cookies through your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on in supported browsers. Blocking cookies alone may not prevent every network request or analytics measurement.

Advertising

Google AdSense advertising is planned but is not currently enabled on this site.

If Google ads are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits. You can manage personalized advertising through Google's My Ad Center and learn about participating third-party opt-outs at YourAdChoices.

When advertising is introduced, this policy will identify the services in use and explain the available consent and privacy controls. Advertising choices are separate from Google Analytics choices.

Providers, storage, and retention

Technical information is processed by Cloudflare, Google, and Ahrefs for the services described above. These providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their policies describe their storage, retention, and transfer practices.

Google Analytics retention depends on the property's settings and the type of report. Cookie expiration is separate from retention of analytics reports. Contact us if you need information about the settings in use or a request involving your data.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to investigate abuse, protect the website, or respond to a security incident.

Privacy requests

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Send requests to [email protected]. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant records. Aggregated analytics may not allow us to identify an individual visit.

If you have a right to complain to a privacy regulator, you can contact the authority where you live. This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.

Children and other websites

This is a general-audience website. It has no registration, newsletter signup, payment form, or account system. If you believe a child has sent us personal information that should be removed, contact us.
